Standard Warranty:

All of our trees and shrubs come with a 30-day warranty from the date of delivery. FAQ

How are heights measured?

Tree and Shrub heights are measured from the top of the root ball or soil, measuring only the above ground portion of your tree or shrub.

How does shipping work?

Description

The Dorsett Apple Tree, also known as the "Dorsett Golden" or "Golden Dorsett," is a variety celebrated for its vibrant, golden-yellow apples and exceptional taste. Its striking appearance is only matched by its delectable flavor, which combines a sweet and tangy profile that's perfect for eating fresh or making delicious homemade cider.

  • Key Features:

    • Taste Sensation: The Dorsett Apple is renowned for its juicy, crisp, and sweet-tart flavor. Each bite delivers a burst of mouthwatering delight.

    • Easy Maintenance: This tree is ideal for both experienced gardeners and beginners. With a manageable size and low maintenance requirements, it's a perfect choice for those new to fruit tree cultivation.

    • Versatile Climate Suitability: The Dorsett Apple Tree thrives in a wide range of USDA hardiness zones, from Zone 5 to Zone 9. It's adaptable to both warm and cold climates, making it suitable for a broad geographic range.

    • Abundant Harvest: Expect a generous yield of these golden apples that ripen in late spring to early summer, ensuring a bountiful harvest to enjoy with family and friends.

Growing Zones: The Dorsett Apple Tree flourishes in a variety of growing zones, including Zones 5 to 9. This adaptability to different climates ensures that you can cultivate this tree in regions with both cold winters and warm summers.

    Basic Care Tips:

    1. Planting: Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-draining soil. Plant your Dorsett Apple Tree in the spring, ensuring it has enough space to grow and thrive.

    2. Pruning: Regular pruning, especially in late winter or early spring, will help maintain the tree's shape and promote air circulation. This reduces the risk of disease and increases fruit production.

    3. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Deep watering is essential during dry periods, especially during the growing season.

    4. Fertilization: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in the spring to provide essential nutrients for your tree's growth and fruit development.

    5. Pest and Disease Control: Monitor your tree for common apple tree pests, such as aphids and apple maggots. Consider using natural or organic pest control methods to keep your tree healthy.

    6. Harvesting: The best time to harvest Dorsett Apples is when they turn a rich golden-yellow color and come away easily from the branch. Enjoy them fresh or use them for your favorite culinary creations.
