Warranty & Returns

Standard Warranty:

All of our trees and shrubs come with a 30-day warranty from the date of delivery. This means that if your tree/shrub is damaged in shipment or if it dies within 30 days of your delivery, we will gladly offer a replacement or credit. Should you receive your tree/shrub during dormancy, and it does not emerge from dormancy by June 1st - the same replacement policy applies.

For added peace of mind, we offer a 1 year extended warranty option. You can choose to purchase an extended warranty for 12% of your cart total at the time of purchase. This extended warranty covers your trees and shrubs for 1 year from the date of delivery. If your tree/shrub dies within the extended warranty period, we will provide you with a replacement plant or issue store credit for the amount of your original purchase. Shipping fees are not included.

FAQ

How are heights measured?

Tree and Shrub heights are measured from the top of the root ball or soil, measuring only the above ground portion of your tree or shrub.

Known for its unique bottlebrush-like seed heads and arching foliage, this native North American perennial is a must-have for garden enthusiasts seeking both beauty and resilience.

Key Features:

  • Unique Seed Heads: The Bottlebrush Grass gets its name from the distinctive bottlebrush-shaped seed heads that emerge in late summer, creating a captivating visual display.
  • Versatile Foliage: The arching green foliage of Elymus hystrix provides a soft and fine-textured backdrop, complementing other plants in your garden.
  • Native Beauty: Thriving in a variety of conditions, this native grass is an eco-friendly choice that attracts local wildlife, including birds and butterflies.

Growing Zones: Bottlebrush Grass is well-suited for growing zones 3 to 8, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of climates. Whether you're in the chilly northern regions or the milder southern areas, this resilient grass adapts effortlessly to its surroundings.

Basic Care Tips:

  1. Sunlight: Plant your Bottlebrush Grass in an area that receives full to partial sunlight. It thrives in sunny locations but can tolerate some shade.
  2. Soil Requirements: This grass is adaptable to a variety of soil types, but it prefers well-draining soil. It can tolerate both moist and dry conditions, adding flexibility to your garden design.
  3. Watering: Once established, Bottlebrush Grass is drought-tolerant. However, regular watering during dry spells will help promote lush growth and vibrant seed head formation.
  4. Maintenance: Low-maintenance and easy to care for, Elymus hystrix only requires occasional pruning to remove dead foliage and spent seed heads. This not only keeps the plant looking tidy but also encourages fresh growth.
