The Prostrate Japanese Plum Yew, also known as Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Prostrata,' is a low-growing evergreen shrub that is native to Japan. It is commonly used in landscaping as a groundcover or as a low border plant.

The Prostrate Japanese Plum Yew has a spreading growth habit, with long, trailing branches that can reach up to 5 feet in length. Its foliage is dense and dark green, with needle-like leaves that are up to 2 inches long. The shrub produces small, inconspicuous flowers in the spring, followed by fleshy, blue-green fruit that resembles a plum.

This shrub is hardy and adaptable, and can grow in a variety of soil types and light conditions. It prefers well-drained soil and partial to full shade, but can also tolerate full sun with regular watering.

One of the advantages of the Prostrate Japanese Plum Yew is its versatility in landscaping. It can be used to cover large areas of ground, or as a low border around other plants. It is also low-maintenance, and requires minimal pruning or shaping to maintain its shape.

We ship either UPS or via our own delivery trucks. After you place your order you'll receive notifications at each step of the way to keep you informed on your item's travels!

Many items are listed in Gallon sizes, what does that mean?

The Gallons refer to the size of the pot that the plant is in. It's simply an industry standard for sizing trees and shrubs. All of our items should have the actual height listed on the description page. If you have any questions regarding sizing, feel free to reach out to us!
