Warranty & Returns

Standard Warranty:

This means that if your tree/shrub is damaged in shipment or if it dies within 30 days of your delivery, we will gladly offer a replacement or credit. Should you receive your tree/shrub during dormancy, and it does not emerge from dormancy by June 1st - the same replacement policy applies.

If your tree/shrub dies within the extended warranty period, we will provide you with a replacement plant or issue store credit for the amount of your original purchase. Shipping fees are not included.

How are heights measured?

Tree and Shrub heights are measured from the top of the root ball or soil, measuring only the above ground portion of your tree or shrub.

The Seersucker Sedge, scientifically known as Carex plantaginea, is a delightful and low-maintenance perennial ground cover that adds a touch of elegance to your shaded garden spaces. Its unique, puckered, and sedge-like foliage brings texture and interest to any landscape. Let's dive into the details and learn how to cultivate this charming plant.

Growing Zones: Seersucker Sedge is well-suited for growing in USDA hardiness zones 4-9. It thrives in a range of climates, making it an ideal choice for various garden enthusiasts.

Basic Care Tips:

  • Location: This plant thrives in partial to full shade, making it a perfect choice for those challenging, shaded areas in your garden. Plant it under trees or in areas with limited sunlight for best results.

  • Soil: Seersucker Sedge prefers well-drained, moist, and rich soil. It can tolerate slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soils.

  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, particularly during the establishment period. Once established, it is moderately drought-tolerant, but regular watering ensures optimal growth and appearance.

  • Fertilization: While Seersucker Sedge doesn't demand heavy fertilization, incorporating a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring can help maintain its vigor and appearance.

  • Pruning: Prune the plant in late winter or early spring to remove any damaged or spent foliage. This encourages fresh growth and keeps the plant looking its best.

  • Pest and Disease Resistance: Seersucker Sedge is relatively resistant to common garden pests and diseases. Keep an eye out for slugs and snails, but in most cases, this plant is low-maintenance when it comes to pest control.

  • Landscape Use: Use Seersucker Sedge as a ground cover, border plant, or even in woodland gardens. It works beautifully alongside other shade-loving plants, and its unique texture and form make it a standout addition to your landscape.
